Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of Grad School Era (the "Service"), a planner for graduate school applications. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them.

1. Your account

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
You sign in with your Google account. Keep it secure; you are responsible for activity on your Grad School Era account.
One person per account.

2. Free and paid plans

The free Starter plan includes the features listed on our pricing page, including up to 3 programs.
Era Pro is a subscription billed monthly in advance through our payment processor, Stripe. It renews automatically each month until you cancel.
If a free trial is offered, you will not be charged until it ends, and you can cancel before then at no cost.
You can cancel anytime from Plan & settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep Pro features until then. We do not give refunds for partial months, except where the law requires.
We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. Changes apply from your next billing period.

3. Your content

You own the programs, tasks, notes and other information you put into the Service. You give us permission to store and display it to you so the Service can work. We do not sell your content.

4. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the Service: no attempts to break, overload or get unauthorized access to it or other people's accounts, and no unlawful content.

5. No guarantees about admissions or deadlines

Grad School Era is an organizing tool. Plans, templates and example dates are suggestions. Always confirm deadlines and requirements with each program. We do not guarantee admission or any outcome.

6. The Service is provided "as is"

We work to keep the Service available and your data safe, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

7. Ending your use

You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

8. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA.
